WEIMA briquettes wood!

No matter where wood chips come from, whether it is hard or soft wood, chipboard, MDF, plywood, wood shavings, saw dust or swarf: volume can be reduced by up to 90 %. This is particularly attractive to the furniture industry, saw mills and cabinetmaking. With briquette presses from WEIMA, now valuable wood waste can be processed to compact briquettes and sold or used as an own heating source. In general, briquettes have a high calorific value, much higher than regular firewood and comparable to brown coal brought about by a longer and more even burning process. By the way, less ash is also produced.

What is good for your company is also good for nature: the perfect CO2–balance of wood briquettes as an energy source. They only return as much CO2 to the atmosphere as is absorbed by a growing tree through photosynthesis.

Wood is a pure natural product. And we should keep it that way, even when briquetted. With WEIMA briquette presses it is possible to compact wood briquettes through the application of hydraulic pressure only – free of additives or binders. Just ask us – depending on the amount of waste, throughput or briquette shape we have the right machine for you. Where material initially proves unsuitable for the briquetting process you will find there is a compatible shredder at WEIMA. We will be happy to advise you!
