Future-oriented metal recycling: De Rooy relies on WEIMA solutions for briquetting and dewatering

The collaboration between De Rooy, Nuenen in the Netherlands and WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH shows how the circular economy can be implemented in metal processing. They worked together on a solution to not only transport and dispose of metal waste such as grinding sludge and aluminium chips in a space-saving and cost-effective manner, but also to convert it into valuable, reusable materials.

LDPE film recycling with WEIMA shredder at RKW in Belgium

RKW produces a wide range of polyethylene films (LDPE films). At the Hoogstraten site in Belgium, the company has recently started using a WEIMA W5.18 single-shaft shredder and primarily shreds LDPE film waste from production as well as externally purchased film.

In the course of growth and expansion to four different locations, Bropack Bronner Packmittel GmbH decided to build a new headquarters. Together with WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH, Steiner GmbH, Nolting Holzfeuerungstechnik GmbH and Mühlböck Holztrocknungsanlagen, an innovative system was designed for an in-house drying and heating system.

Shredder quartet for Aufderhaar Kunststof Recycling in the Netherlands

For the processing of post-consumer waste (PE) and flower pots (PP), four large WEIMA shredders are used for secondary shredding at the Veolia Nederland subsidiary Aufderhaar Kunststof Recycling in Vroomshoop. The regranulate produced in this way is then reused for the production of packaging materials.

Högland Såg & Hyvleri: Wood chips from residual wood as fuel for energy power plants

Högland Såg & Hyvleri is a leading manufacturer of high-quality sawn timber and planed products in Örnsköldsvik, in the northeast of Sweden. During the production, large quantities of residual wood are produced every day, which are reduced to chips by a WEIMA S7.15 single-shaft shredder. These are then resold as fuel for power plants.
