Highly satisfied market and technology leaders from over 150 countries again made the popular wood trade fair in Hanover a major attraction. After five intensive fair days, Jörg Töpfer, WEIMA Sales Director, also draws a highly positive summary, and is pleased to have been able to present state-of-the-art shredding technology for the wood processing industry to the visitors.
“The results have again been surpassed compared with 2017, something that is not a foregone conclusion in this day and age. We are observing a growing interest in sustainable solutions that we are more than happy to serve. Our broad machine portfolio helps us here. The numerous qualified discussions at the fair generated several concrete inquiries. And of course we were very happy to conclude sales contracts on our fair stand. The increasing internationalization of the visitors has made the LIGNA even more dynamic for us. Having made a large number of new contacts, we are now looking forward to the follow-up and are happy to take this underlying positive mood with us.

What did WEIMA present at the LIGNA 2019?
In addition to the single-shaft shredders from the popular WL Series, the company also showcased compact briquette presses from the C Series and the low-maintenance tong-type press TH 514.
As with the whole machine series, the WL 4 has a hopper of Logspacer design that prevents the formation of material build-up with particularly large feed materials. A working width of 600 mm, a rotor diameter of 252 mm and 18.5 kW drive power ensure that timber waste of all kinds can be easily shredded. This also benefits from the very sturdy design that guarantees a long service life even for outdoor operation. Its powerful PLC system with high-resolution touch panel and modified user interface make operation even more intuitive.

Both the C Series briquette presses and the TH 514 were given a brand new control system for the LIGNA to further optimize their ease of operation. A more intuitive touch panel is also included here.
