Electromechanical drive with belt

In addition to the electromechanical drive with WAP gearbox, the hydraulic drive and the high-torque drive, the electromechanical drive with belt is a drive option that WEIMA uses in the FineCut range of shredders.

High speeds. Even higher throughput.

The FineCut machines use a 6-pole asynchronous motor without gearbox. The speed is infinitely variable between 160 and 340 rpm via a frequency converter. Thanks to the high speed, extreme throughputs can be achieved. A slipping clutch protects the drive train from damage caused by impurities and thus ensures a long service life. The drive is extremely robust and low-maintenance and guarantees an electrically load-free start-up without current peaks.
