There is something for every industry professional in Hall 9, at the fair stand of WEIMA—the shredding and briquetting specialist from Ilsfeld, Germany. If you are interested in particularly high throughput rates and volume independence, WEIMA offers the ultra-powerful WLK 1000 shredder for wood, plastic and paper. The one thing that makes the WLK 1000 so powerfully impressive is: the improved 370 mm diameter V-rotor, fitted with 78 cutting knives in three rows.

With an output of up to 55 kW, it shreds wood scrap and all kinds of materials within seconds and without any problem. A hydraulic perforated basket that swivels downwards enables faster and improved accessibility for a user-friendly maintenance. All shredders of the new WL series also have a factory-fitted log spacer. The innovative design of the hopper and increased filling capacity make it possible to shred especially large parts, without any bridging.
In keeping with our tradition, the established classic WL 8, which has been on the market for over twenty years, will be showcased as always. The WEIMA TH 714 briquette press as well as the compact series C 150 is equipped with a new control technology. The new feature is an extremely powerful PLC-control combined with a sophisticated touch-screen control panel for optimal actuation in manual operations. The user interface is conceptualised and designed to make the machine easy to service.

The topic of resource efficiency will feature prominently again this year. In times of dwindling availability of raw materials, the need for sustainable and responsible use of energy sources is growing among enterprises. WEIMA is committed to using resources as efficiently as possible. The TH 714 briquette press turns all kinds of pressable wood materials such as hard and soft solid wood, chipboard, plywood, wood shavings, sawdust, and even sanding dust, into high-strength briquettes of 70 mm diameter. It is specially designed for operations with throughput rates of up to 160 kg/h.
