It is finally time for the WEIMA team to get back on the road! Wood Pro Expo will be co-located with Closets Conference & Expo this week in West Palm Beach, Florida. The eagerness to get back to the show floor, especially among woodworkers, is palpable.
WEIMA has solutions for grinding OSB, particleboard, MDF, plywood, and all kinds of manufactured boards that are traditionally used in the construction of storage solutions, furniture, and various types of construction. Skeleton waste is bulky and haul-away costs are often expensive. Companies can maximize dumpster space and minimize those unnecessary expenses by shredding those skeletons down to size.
The size reduction machinery manufacturer also offers solutions for hardwood and softwood shredding, as well as dust and shavings management through briquetting. MDF dust, for example, can be compressed into briquettes that are clean and efficient to handle, increasing plant safety. These briquette presses can be hooked up directly to an air system with the use of a rotary airlock to control the mess.
Woodworkers can benefit greatly by placing machinery to handle wood waste where it’s created. A hands-off approach to scrap management means workforces are maximized. Less time spent moving wood waste around a plant and sweeping up dust leaves more time for producing goods.
Wood grinders from WEIMA come in two varieties: hopper-fed shredders and horizontal shredders. The correct machine for the job is determined by a variety of considerations. The main factors include the size and shape of the scrap, the amount of waste produced per hour, and the desired use after the material has been shredded.
Regional Sales Manager, Scott Martin, and Wood Inside Sales Manager, Chad Ames, will be in booth #530 at the upcoming Wood Pro Expo. The event, which runs from June 8-9, will be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
