Presses for drainage and compression of shavings

The WEIMA dewatering press offers a solution for reducing the volume and dewatering metal and plastic chips produced during machining. In contrast to briquette presses, there are no screws around which long chips could wrap and clog. As a result, the chips are efficiently compacted and the lubricants, coolants and liquids they contain can be recovered through clean emptying.

Customer applications: Chip dewatering with WEIMA

Practical examples of successful chip compaction with WEIMA presses.
Metal chip dewatering and compaction with the new PUEHLER C.200 press from WEIMA
Our hydraulic dewatering presses are a clean, sustainable and economical solution for the professional disposal or resale of chips produced during machining. The PUEHLER C.200 produces pellets with a diameter of 200 mm. Chips produced during turning, milling, drilling or other machining activities are pressed and then transported to a container without dripping. The pressed out cooling lubricants and oils can then be fed back into the processing machine.

Why pay for unnecessary volume and waste?

Voluminous mountains of chips often cause high disposal costs, as unused volume and excess lubricants have to be paid for. With the WEIMA dewatering press, the metal chips are efficiently compacted and the emptying of residual liquids is simplified. Companies save space by significantly reducing the volume and at the same time recover lubricants and coolants that can be reused.

With the WEIMA dewatering press, lubricants and coolants are extracted from the chips and reused after emptying. The 200 mm diameter pellets have a low residual moisture content. Extracted liquids flow back into cooling or lubrication circuits. A volume reduction by a factor of 10 is possible. This saves costs and conserves resources.

No screws, no blockages - the advantage of the WEIMA dewatering press

Compared to briquette presses, the WEIMA dewatering press offers a decisive advantage: there are no screws around which long metal chips could wrap. This prevents blockages and ensures problem-free emptying and smooth operation. Chips from machining centers can also be processed efficiently without affecting the machine.

The WEIMA C.200 - Compact and efficient

The WEIMA C.200 dewatering press offers a compact, high-performance solution for chip compaction and liquid recovery. Ideal for small to medium-sized businesses, the C.200 can be easily integrated into existing production processes thanks to its plug-and-play function. It reduces disposal costs, optimizes the recovery of liquids and improves the sustainability of your production.
