Growing, growing, growing!

WEIMA America's staff is expanding to better serve customers, distributors, and vendors.

WEIMA’s North American headquarters has grown in so many ways over the last couple years. The building next to what was historically the administrative office was purchased last year, creating more space for machine production and parts storage. This allowed us to serve our customers and vendors quickly!

Now the operation has grown in a whole new way. Three weeks ago, WEIMA America added five new team members to the WEIMA family!

Peter Schirk, Customer Service Specialist

Peter’s professional background is in plant design and start-up within the metal recycling industry. He joins the WEIMA technical team as a Customer Service Specialist focusing specifically on parts and service. Peter is jumping in with both feet and is working side-by-side with John Pahl, who has been in Customer Service here at WEIMA for over seven years. With so many machines in operation, it’s important to have the resources to meet the needs of our customers and their machines quickly!

Jody Rawson, Production Manager

This year has been incredibly successful in terms of machine sales– we LOVE that so many people are benefitting from responsible size reduction and recycling practices. Because of this, it was important to add a Production Manager to lead our technical department effectively. Jody’s background is in mechanical design, lean manufacturing, operations, Six sigma green belt, fabrication, and CNC technology. When he’s not at work, you can catch him doing something sporty outdoors. His positive energy and drive has already brought even more organization and focus to the shop and our technical team.

Tiffany Dorsett, Receptionist

When you walk in the office, you may see a new face sitting at the front desk! Tiffany joined the WEIMA team with one goal in mind: help those we work with feel welcome when they enter the building! In her own words: “I know that a first impression is important, and I love to put a smile on peoples’ faces first thing!” Tiffany spends her free time doing family things with her husband and kids, and really loves to travel.

Eric Plant, Project Coordinator

Eric’s experience has been based in concrete technology and industrial high rise safety. He retired after a building a successful business and his wife wanted him out of the house, so he decided to take on the new adventure of shredding and briquetting! He is a citizen of three countries: the US, Britain, and Canada. Eric’s job is to streamline the sales process and ensure proper production and shipment of ordered machines.

Dean Krueger, IT Specialist

Dean joins the WEIMA team with a background in IT & systems management, programming, and software development. He’s been married for 30 years to his high school prom date (true story!) and has two adult children. Dean’s expertise in IT has been crucial throughout this growth trend. He jumped right in and has already made such an impact on profitability and processes within the operation.

We are looking forward to continued growth!
