Four-shaft shredder

Slowly and quietly rotating shredder with aggressive material feed

Wherever the volume of bulky and long items needs to be reduced, the Holz- andPlastic waste and packaging, Cardboard boxes or Metal waste of all kinds, there is no way around four-shaft shredders. This proven shredding technology with four parallel shafts is designed for medium throughput volumes.

They have a large hopper, two cutting shafts and two clearing shafts. The screen insert can be individually adapted to your application. The shredders in this series shred your residual materials to uniform particle sizes. Four-shaft shredders work both as a stand-alone solution and in a multi-stage system.

How does a four-shaft shredder work?

With four-shaft shredders, the material is fed vertically via the hopper onto the cutting unit. A sieve can be used with the four-shaft shredder to ensure homogeneous material.

The material is caught and shredded by the ripper teeth of the cutting disks. The clearing discs then push it through the cutting gaps between the cutting discs. Finally, it is discharged through the screen under the cutting unit.

Individual cutting configuration

The cutting configuration of the four-shaft shredder comprises two cutting shafts and two clearing shafts as standard. The cutting shafts can be flexibly adapted to the desired throughput rate and grain size.

The width and number of cutting discs are individually adapted to your application. For higher throughput, the broaching discs can optionally be replaced by additional cutting discs. Special cutting discs with more ripper teeth are also available to enable particularly aggressive cuts.

Where are 4-shaft shredders used?

Four-shaft shredders are versatile shredding machines that are used in numerous industries. They are used for the precise and efficient shredding of a wide variety of materials. Typical applications include metal recycling, plastics and wood processing, waste management and the processing of paper and electronic waste.

Metal recycling: Shredding of aluminum, steel and other metals in preparation for further processing.

Plastics processing: processing of production waste, plastic pipes, containers and packaging materials

Wood industry: Shredding of wood waste, pallets, crates and furniture for volume reduction and further processing.

Waste management: processing of mixed waste, including bulky materials, for volume reduction and preparation for recycling processes.

Electronic waste (WEEE): Shredding of electrical and electronic equipment to recover valuable raw materials.

Paper and cardboard industry: Processing of paper waste, cardboard and confidential documents for secure destruction and recycling.

Thanks to their robust design and high efficiency, four-shaft shredders are a reliable and durable solution for recycling and processing operations.

Advantages of four-shaft technology

Thanks to the low shaft speed of approx. 25 revolutions per minute, noise pollution during operation is at a very low level. At the same time, the slow speed ensures an extremely high torque. This means that even heavy and bulky materials can be processed reliably.

The machines impress with their robust and space-saving design. This design enables easy integration into existing complete systems, allowing the shredder to be seamlessly integrated into existing processes.

Four-shaft shredders are characterized by a high throughput rate combined with low power consumption. This energy efficiency makes them particularly economical for industrial use. The integrated self-feeding system enables operation without a hydraulic pusher system. This reduces maintenance requirements and ensures greater machine availability.

These shredders impress with their robustness, efficiency and durability. Their high performance and economy make them the ideal choice for demanding shredding tasks in industry.
