The WEIMA TH 800 M briquetting press is specifically designed for compacting metal chips. It transforms loose chips into highly compacted metal briquettes, increasing their material value and optimising internal logistics.
The briquetting process recovers cooling lubricants such as oils and emulsions, which are returned to the circulation via an integrated sump with a pump. The compact briquettes can be melted down directly; they sink more quickly during the melting process and reduce slag formation and burn-off.
The result: lower storage and transport costs, higher recycling revenues and greater efficiency in metal processing.

Maximum pressing pressures up to approx. 3,900 kg/cm²
The powerful axial piston pump in the hydraulic unit delivers an output of up to 37 kW. This enables the generation of particularly high pressing pressures of up to 3,900 kg/cm² (TH 800 M), resulting in the briquettes being extremely compacted. The other hydraulic components are also reinforced. The result: a longer service life and minimised maintenance costs. However, for those who require significantly less power depending on the application, motors are also available from 5.5 kW.

Easy to use with a large touchscreen
Maximum flexibility. The large touch panel is ergonomically designed for quick parameter adjustments (e.g. briquette length, number of briquettes per minute, density, etc.) during material changes. It also displays various processes taking place within the machine. To ensure that the electronics are optimally tailored to the machine, we design, build and wire our control cabinets entirely in-house. In doing so, we use only high-quality branded components – for example, from Siemens, Allen Bradley or Rittal.

Highly compressed briquettes of the highest quality for industrial use
All WEIMA briquettes are characterised by their dimensionally stable compression. The use of die technology enables even better compaction and volume reduction compared to a press pliers. Depending on the application, the briquettes are so dense that they even sink in water. They therefore have a density >1 (e.g. aluminium has a density of approx. 2.3, whilst other metals have a significantly higher density). This makes briquettes from the TH Industrie series ideal for subsequent marketing. Their rectangular shape also makes them easy to handle, as they can be stacked for transport.

Modern machine design incorporating die technology for maximum throughput
The use of a closed die to compact loose chips, dust or shredded materials, in combination with a powerful hydraulic unit, results in extremely high briquette densities. Machines in the TH Industrie series are state-of-the-art and extremely robust in design. The throughput of the TH 800 M is up to 300 kg/h, depending on the specific material.

Reliable multi-shift operation thanks to a large Bosch Rexroth hydraulic oil tank with integrated cooling system
The separate oil tank of the Bosch Rexroth hydraulic power unit has a capacity of approximately 600 litres and is fitted with an efficient oil cooling system. Thanks to this large volume, the quality of the hydraulic oil can be maintained at a very high standard for a long period of time – making it ideal for use in multi-shift operations.

Round briquettes for sale or personal use
The TH 800 M compresses loose materials into dimensionally stable round briquettes with a diameter of 80 mm. The briquette length can be adjusted on all machines. No binding agents or adhesives are used for compaction; only hydraulic pressure is applied.

Low wear and tear, easy maintenance thanks to chrome-plated and hardened dies and replaceable press plates
The movable die, in which the final briquette is formed, is subject to increased wear and tear. For this reason, it is made of hardened steel and is also chrome-plated. The press plate located next to it can be replaced in just a few simple steps once it has worn out. This ensures that the process runs smoothly.
