Briquette Press Machinery for Scrap and Manufacturing

WEIMA is bringing their TH 1500 M briquette press matrix to Nashville, which is specifically engineered to transform loose chips, turnings, or shavings into compact briquettes that measure 150mm x 60mm. The TH 1500 M is similar to the TH 800 M briquette press in that it produces round briquettes with a diameter of 80mm, and both models offer dual discharge for increased throughput, as well as a catch pan and a swivel PLC control. The catch pan located beneath the machine captures any cutting fluid that may be expressed from the briquettes, and a sump/pump alternative is available to reintroduce this fluid back into the manufacturing process, further maximizing its value.

The TH-series machinery can compress a variety of other loose materials as well, including paper dust, wood shavings, and more! About this machine

Benefits of metal briquetting

Metal briquetting is a highly advantageous process that provides numerous benefits. Loose chips and turnings that result from metal product manufacturing are often cumbersome, sharp, and difficult to handle. However, by compressing them through briquetting, the materials can be reduced to a manageable size and shape with minimal handling required. This enhances safety, optimizes storage space, and facilitates recycling or smelting. Many recyclers prefer to receive scrap metal in its compressed form, as it reduces burn-off and maximizes its value.

The right tool for the job

Recycling metal is a highly efficient way of utilizing this valuable material, and reducing its size is often the initial step in the recycling process.

With WEIMA machinery, it's possible to shred light metals such as aluminum, magnesium, copper, brass, bronze, and steel milling waste. Prior to being processed further, bulky materials are typically shredded to achieve a uniform size. The WMS 60 is one of WEIMA's machines that can efficiently shred light alloys for recycling or further processing. At the ISRI event, WEIMA will have a WMS 60 on display for attendees to observe.
