The Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo was a-buzz with the latest trends surrounding brewing, canning, and flavor! WEIMA was on the show floor to educate attendees and exhibitors on the benefits of drainage press technology within their brewing and canning operations!
Upon first arrival, Minneapolis was full of people looking to invest in their craft brewing operations. Show-goers truly took advantage of the opportunity to learn and enhance their brewing operations from start to finish. Exhibitors ranged from brewing machinery manufacturers, hops suppliers, canning line engineers, label and can sleeve distributors, producers of caps and closures, and more!
WEIMA was excited to bring the conversation about sustainability to the table. Through drainage and compression technology, brewing operations with canning lines can remove the fluid from underfilled or out-of-spec cans and compress the aluminum into recyclable discs, all in one easy step. Thanks to the modular design of these machines, PUEHLER drainage presses from WEIMA are easily integrated into existing canning lines.
The E.200 drainage presswas center stage in the WEIMA booth. The functionality of this machine commanded a lot of attention from breweries who are currently paying employees to open out-of-spec cans and pour out the contents manually. Even with the contents removed, the empty cans take up quite a bit of space if they are not crushed. The WEIMA team was eager to share how this machinery line allows brewing operations to maximize their workforce and their storage space while making the company more environmentally sustainable.
Beer was served throughout the show, and many attendees were drinking out of branded WEIMA glasses. These glasses were shaped like cans to drive the message home: we know what canning lines need to be sustainable! The Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo 2022 was an incredibly successful show, bursting at the seams with brewing professionals who were eager to maximize everything about their production and flavor. The WEIMA team was sure of one thing: we were right where we needed to be.
See y’all in Nashville, Tennessee in 2023!
