Customer Service Specialist

Basic Function / Summary:

- Maintains customer relationships by responding to service and parts inquiries.
- Reports to Vice President Technical
- 40 hours per week, with some travel
- Based at WEIMA's Fort Mill office in South Carolina

Job Duties:

In this position the candidate will provide customer support over the phone by analyzing and troubleshooting customer problems. Furthermore the candidate will be responsible for parts and service sales. In some cases he may provide onsite service or training. We expect the candidate to be a team player and pro-active in seeking sales opportunities for our existing equipment installations.

Skills and Qualifications:

For this position the ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical-, Systems-, Electrical- Engineering or similar, paired with at least 4 years of experience in a sales or customer service position in the industrial machine industry. Very good knowledge about PLC programming (Allan Bradley), VFD and reading electrical schematics are essential. We also expect the candidate to have very good communication, sales and troubleshooting skills. Other expected qualifications are: Product Knowledge, Informing Others, Data Entry Skills, MS Office, Organization, Analyzing Information, Reporting Skills, Customer Focus, General Consulting Skills, Multi-tasking.

Field Technician

Basic Function / Summary:

- Travel to customer site for repairs, troubleshooting and installation of WEIMA shredders and briquette presses or multi-stage shredding and grinding systems.
- Machine setup and repair in our shop in Ft. Mill.
- 40 hours per week
- For immediate start

Duties and Skills:

For this position a technical and electrical education and at least 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, or maintenance of industrial machinery is required. The applicant must be able to read and diagnose electrical schematics and electrical control cabinets, as well as troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery. The position requires 50-70% travel within the USA and Canada. Other favorable skills are welding and forklift driving.

The applicant must have a valid driver’s license and passport. An associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or a trade in Mechatronics is preferred.
