Technical Customer Service/Sales Specialist

What does a Customer Service Specialist at WEIMA do?

The Customer Service Specialist will handle and resolve a variety of customer concerns, complaints and questions with accuracy and efficiency. The CSS will be responsible for all parts and service sales and may occasionally provide onsite service and training to clients.

What must the ideal candidate have?

• Strong knowledge – reading electrical schematics
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Be service oriented – have great interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Be knowledgeable in MSOffice and thorough PC Skills
• Must have an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Systems, Electrical, Engineering or similar field

Field Technician

Basic Function / Summary:

- Travel to customer site for repairs, troubleshooting and installation of WEIMA shredders and briquette presses or multi-stage shredding and grinding systems.
- Machine setup and repair in our shop in Ft. Mill.
- 40 hours per week

Duties and Skills:

For this position a technical and electrical education and at least 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing, or maintenance of industrial machinery is required. The applicant must be able to read and diagnose electrical schematics and electrical control cabinets, as well as troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery. The position requires 50-70% travel within the USA and Canada. Other favorable skills are welding and forklift driving.

The applicant must have a valid driver’s license and passport. An associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance or a trade in Mechatronics is preferred.

Regional Technician/Sales – Chicagoland Area

What does a Regional Technician/Sales at WEIMA do?

The Regional Technician/Sales is primarily responsible for selling, installing and repairing equipment. Utilizing general mechanical and electrical knowledge the technician will install and set up new equipment on customer sites based on plans and drawings. The Regional Technician/Sales will provide customer support by telephone or on-site on general operation and troubleshooting issues with machinery.

What must the ideal candidate have?

• Ability to travel 75% of the time. Most travel is regional or within the U.S and is Monday morning - Friday evening. Act as the face of the company and have great customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work with minimum direction
• Read and diagnose electrical schematics and electrical control cabinets, as well as troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery
• Self-motivated, takes initiative
• Associate’s Degree in technology (electrical, mechanical) or related field
• A working knowledge of the current Microsoft Windows Desktop
• Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record
• Five or more years’ of experience in the industrial machine industry, preferred

The Project Coordinator will work alongside the Project Manager to communicate with customers and meet target deadlines on projects across the region. The Project Coordinator will monitor project plans and schedules. Project Coordinator is expected to gain experience in different industries (wood, paper, plastics, and metal).

IT Specialist

What does an IT Specialist at WEIMA do?

The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to staff. Will monitor systems and applications to ensure performance and available are within established benchmarks: internet, network, servers, software applications and mobile data and phone operations. Must configure, install, repair and maintain hardware. Loads appropriate software packages i.e. operating systems, networking components and office applications. IT Specialist will be responsible for regular server backup, administration of email and cybersecurity systems. He/she will assist in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies and will assist with recording/assembling videos and organizing YouTube channel. Will also assist with preparation of audio/visual materials for tradeshows.

What must the ideal candidate have?

• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
• Working knowledge of server hardware
• Be service oriented – have great interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Be knowledgeable in PC hardware, MSOffice, Windows OS (10, 7), TCP/IP
• Experience with recording and assembling audio/visual material
• Experience working with mobile devices

Production Manager

What does a Production Manager at WEIMA do?

The Production Manager will be responsible for running the daily operations in order to ensure our productivity and business objectives are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. The daily operations include the supervision and training of production employees, maintenance of production equipment, controlling costs and managing the quality and compliance files in adherence to the established standards.

• Analyzes production schedules & makes plans to meet customer demand.
• Responsible for all aspects of staff’s day to day activities: safety, morale, position, discipline, schedule, time sheets, attendance, etc.
• Monitor production/manpower levels within area of responsibility to ensure continued efficiency while anticipating problems and assisting with developing contingencies to address issues or production needs
• Owns the safety culture of the department, including but not limited to: executing safety initiatives, ensuring proper usage of PPE, addressing safety concerns and suggestions, completing accident investigation reports (when needed).
• Uses ERP system (SAGE) to maintain accurate inventory for all materials used in the department.
• Responsible for effective communication to all levels of the plant from direct reports to VP.
• Orders small tools, protective clothing, equipment and other items necessary for production and safety.
• Maintains a clean and orderly department.

• Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology
