Industrial Shredding System & Conveyors

In industrial shredding, material cannot always be fed manually or with a forklift. The situation is similar in discharging material. For this reason, WEIMA offers a broad range of  shredding systems and conveyor shredders suitable for your application. Our shredding systems can include either screw or belt conveyors to transport material, metal separators, and extraction systems. Our conveying portfolio consists of:

Screw conveyor

Flexible material discharge from shredder to secondary machinery via metal spiral. Allows transportation of shredded material onto a defined height.

Belt conveyors

The use of belt conveyors ensures an even and controlled material flow - no matter if it's feeding of discharging. Additionally, a belt conveyor can be equipped with a metal detector to protect the shredder or granulator

Metal detectors and separators

Metal separators are used in conjunction with in-feed conveyors where a high material recovery and cleaning rate is required. Also, secondary machinery is protected from foreign material.

Discharge screw

Transports shredded material out of the machine and supports the air extraction system. This is recommended especially for shredders with a working width of more than 1,000 mm.

Pneumatic discharge

Extraction systems for materials like wood, foam, etc. can increase the performance of a shredder significantly. This is recommended especially for wood-working companies that already own air extraction technology.
