LIGNA 2013 Preview with all highlights
WEIMA goes mobile!
On LIGNA 2013 in Hannover (Germany), time has finally come – WEIMA will present its newest innovation in size reduction technology. Along with the booth in Hall 11, a separate outdoor booth offers visitors the possibility to experience the eagerly-awaited new line of machinery. One thing is clear: WEIMA is on the go.
Another LIGNA highlight will be WEIMA’s new “HD” (High Density) briquette press series. The series includes the HD 500, HD 700K and HD 1500, which enable customers to briquette difficult materials such as MDF-dust or wood chips. This is possible due to an innovative press mechanism which is used in every model. Round briquettes with 50mm diameter and rectangular briquettes with edge lengths of 70mm or 150 x 60mm can be produced – of course without any additives or binders. The main advantages are massive volume reduction, minimized disposal costs, increased storage space, and easier handling of waste material. It also makes the operation safer by minimizing the presence of explosive dust. These briquettes can also be sold.
At LIGNA, we will also address heavy industrial requirements in the field of briquetting. The TH 1500 from WEIMA is presented as a high throughput briquette press which is equipped with a powerful matrix pressing unit. The briquette being produced is very stable and mutually ejected. The axial piston pump of the hydraulics is driven by a 30 kW engine and is able to generate 9 briquettes per minute.
Among these innovations WEIMA will also exhibit the proven classics of the WL-series including the WL 4 with the innovative and profiled V-rotor, and the WL 8 with 800mm working width. Both machines are suitable for every kind of wood shredding and are used in hundreds of small and medium-sized companies around the globe. They are characterized by a very sturdy design, which can operate in any environment, even outdoors!
